Global Employment Solutions Cuts Time-to-Hire by 50% for Kubota Manufacturing of America Corp.

Challenge
As a premier tractor manufacturer, Kubota Manufacturing of America relies on welders to operate its production facilities. In March 2006, they were experiencing incredible growth but operating at only half their capacity. They were in immediate need of qualified welders. Doubly concerning, many businesses across the nation were already strained by a shortage of skilled welders.

Solution
Global Employment Solutions accepted the challenge and invested in a Training Center to meet their needs.

Results
By April 2007, Kubota hired nearly 70 pre-trained, qualified welders,” boasted Director of Business Promotion & Support Phil Sutton. “We hired at least 20 at Kubota Manufacturing of America, 30 at Kubota Industrial Equipment and 17 at Shintone. We’re now operating at full capacity thanks to Global Employment Solutions and its new Training Center.”

Another area where Global Employment Solutions made a big impact was expanding its training facility to include machinist and assembly workers. “Global filled our need for machinist and assembly workers too. Never before had I seen this level of commitment to placing reliable candidates,” remarked Sutton.

Due to the efficiencies gained from Global’s innovative staffing
solution, Kubota cut its time-to-hire by 50%, operating at full capacity in less than 6 months. This allowed Kubota to meet their production demands while Kubota supervisors spent less time on non-productive activities.
